INSULIN INJECTIONS, NO MORE! …STOPPING THE DIABETES PANDEMIC

New Treatment Will Be Good News to 150 Million Worldwide, Including 15 Million Children

Researchers at two nationally known universities report they're closing in on a new treatment, possibly even a cure for certain common types of diabetes. Dr. Aaron Vink at EVMS, one of the lead researchers stated that, “We saw a reversal of diabetes when the compound was administered at an adequate dose and for a sufficient period of time.” The research at, Eastern Virginia Medical School and McGill University in Montreal and financially supported by the Procter and Gamble Company is working to develop a new treatment for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. If successful, it could eliminate the need for insulin injections forever.

It could be a cure type 1 diabetes, which effects over a million and a half people in the US. It could also affect the lives of over 6 million people in the US who have type 2 diabetes and must inject daily insulin to survive.

The treatment is now in phase one trials at four sites and expects to go to Phase 2 trials next year. If successful, it will have a dramatic effect on the US and global economy. Diabetes is a 100 billion dollar industry in just the US (27% of the Medicare Budget). It can change the quality of lives and longevity for millions of people with diabetes.

·    Diabetes is the leading cause of blindness and kidney failure.
·    It can quadruple the risk of heart disease and stroke
·    Each year a million people are diagnosed with diabetes and over 400,000 die from it
·    Diabetes has increased 70% for people in their 30’s
·    Causes over 90.0000 amputations a year
·    The Diabetes Epidemic is expected to double in 25 years

On Dec 4th Diabetes In Control a free weekly newsletter for medical professionals will be starting a 3-part feature on the development and current research trials for this new treatment beginning. If you have or know someone with diabetes, make sure they are aware of this research, they could be eligible for participation in the trials.
